The pandemic has certainly restricted our access to the mountain, so Writers Write is bringing the mountain to you – by way of a series of writing workshops with renowned American writer and teacher Robin McLean.
Australian writers can win
Knowing that sometimes all a writer needs is a little boost of good fortune, we are giving away a place to a writer from each State and Territory of Australia to attend Writing Boot, Online – an intensive one-day workshop for writers who are just starting out, or who need restarting.
To enter, all you need to do is give us your name, email address and State/Territory, and, be prepared to join this immersive workshop on Saturday 22nd November.
The fine print
The competition will be open from midnight October 4 to midnight November 6th, 2020 AEDST. One winner from each State and Territory of Australia will be drawn on Monday 9th November at 5pm AEDST.
All entrants will be notified of whether or not they win by November 11th and added to the Writers Write and HighPlainsWriting mail list, from which you can unsubscribe at any time.
Terms and conditions form part of the entry.
Writing with Robin
Immersive workshops designed to push your writing past the boundaries you didn’t know you had.
To progress our craft, a writer needs both inspiration and time for new ideas to incubate, crack open and grow. To explore new artistic territory, to excite ourselves and ignite out work, a writer also needs a third element, a bit of pressure. We need risk in order to leave our comfort zones, our time zones, hemispheres. A little push off the cliff’s edge.
In her generative, genre and editing workshops, writer and teacher Robin McLean creates this inspiration, space and pressure to move your writing to a deeper level.
Whether just starting out, starting something new or, seeking to explore new territory hidden beneath existing writing, workshopping with Robin will give you the time, techniques and inspiration for new ideas to incubate, crack open and grow.
Writers Write
Workshops, writing-tips and manuscript assessments to help you find and deepen your voice and narrative control.
